Kim Antoniou is an entrepreneur and founder of Auris Tech, the company behind Fonetti, a reading platform built around voice technology designed to support reading aloud. Her route into problem-first technology ventures has been shaped by lived experience. After a serious allergy incident involving her husband, she built Kafoodle with a focus on food information, allergen management and personalised dining. Kafoodle was later sold to 365 Retail in 2023. At Auris Tech, Kim worked with academic speech expertise to develop voice technology for reading and now focuses on improving literacy, reading confidence and engagement through Fonetti and the National Read Aloud Challenge. Throughout the episode, she also talks about partnerships, advisers, leadership, resilience and knowing when a business needs different people or a bigger platform to grow.
