Marissa Firkins is the founder of Safety Forward, a health and safety consultancy based in Staffordshire and working across the UK and beyond. Safety Forward supports organisations across construction, manufacturing, engineering, local authorities, charities, retail and office-based environments. Before starting the business, Marissa spent 22 years in law enforcement, including work as an investigator and intelligence officer. She later moved into health and safety and says the common thread between the two careers is protecting people. Marissa started Safety Forward 11 years before this episode was recorded and has built a team of nine professionals.
