Emma Cromerty is an HR consultant who runs EC Human Resources. She moved into HR after early work involving recruitment and training, before a company funded her degree and she built a career in corporate HR. By the time of this episode, Emma had been running her own HR business for 12 years. Her work covers employment law guidance, contracts and policies, recruitment, disciplinary processes, performance management, employee relations and workplace culture. In the conversation, Emma also introduces HR Chest, a digital HR resource and staff management system designed to help businesses keep employment information, documents, holiday requests, absence records and employee files organised.
